Free Agents open Playoffs Against Buffs

Free Agents to play Buffaloes in first round of Summer 2010 AIAHL playoffs on Monday July 26 @9:30.

Plenty of tickets still available.

FINAL STANDINGS


The Hitmen earn the top spot and a bye in the first round of the playoffs based on tiebreaker rules which went to the 4th tiebreaking option.
First Tiebreak was Head to Head and both Hitmen and Free Agents were 2-2 against each other.
2nd Tiebreak was Goal Differential which was even at plus 14. (with Free Agents getting the plus 14 all in the final game)
3rd Tiebreak was record against common opponent and both lost 1 game vs Buffaloes.
4th Tiebreak was a coin toss won by the Hitmen.
So, the Free Agents will play the Buffaloes in the 2 v 3 matchup on Monday July 26th at 9:30.

Buffaloes on a Roll

The Buffaloes knocked off another AIAHL win with a 5-2 triumph over the Hitmen.

Rob Jennings scored two goals and Chris Melchione had the game winner.

So that is two in a row for the newly minted Buffaloes as they gear up for a playoff run.

Buffaloes Notch First Franchise Victory

The Buffaloes won the team's first franchise victory with a convincing 7-3 performance against the Free Agents.

Nick Ferris scored a hatrick in the win and Jarred Abbott had 2 goals and and 2 assists. Buffaloe captain Bob Campi also scored in the contest adding two helpers for good measure.
